Peter Ruhdal Jensen is an expert in quantitative synthetic biology, systems biology, molecular biology/genetics and microbial physiology. The research team used system-oriented approaches such as genomics, proteomics transcriptomics and combined with bio-mathematical methods which control analysis and modeling to describe the complex properties arise out of the interaction between the many components into complex biological systems. As model systems used mainly bacteria, both industrially relevant and food-borne pathogens.
Peter Ruhdal Jensen is the leader of System Engineering and Biorefinery group at the National Food Institute (DTU FOOD). Peter Ruhdal Jensen teaches Molecular Biotechnology and Industrial bacteria Molecular genetics. In addition, he serves as advisor to a number of thesis students and Ph.D. students. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 scientific articles and collaborate with a variety of research groups and companies at home and abroad.
